Extra-large, liquid-crystal digital temperature display. Tamper-resistant electronic temperature controller. Low-voltage safeguard. Clean Filter indicator. Three-position key switch for main power and alarm system.

Legaci* Cascade Refrigeration System
Assures unprecedented temperature reliability for the most critical storage applications. Designed specifically for use in ultralow-temperature freezers. Fully integrated technology uses environmentally safe DuPont* Suva* refrigerants that cool the load as well as system components. Two custom-designed 1hp Copeland* compressors provide the displacement required for optimum efficiency. Lubricating oils maintain proper viscosity. Balanced condensers and fans complement the cooling capacity of refrigerants.

Built-in Alarm System
Continuously charging battery backup support system in case of power failure. Independent tamper-resistant high/low alarm setpoints in 1°C increments. Touchpad alarm test to verify alarm readiness. Audible and visual warnings of power failure and temperature deviation. Automatic Incident Monitor warns when an alarm has occurred and has been self-corrected, then remembers warmest chamber temperature achieved. Exterior alarm contacts for remote monitoring included.

Construction
Heavy-gauge, cold-rolled steel with powder paint finish. Chest models have insulating sublids to eliminate cold air loss during cabinet openings. Minimum of 31/2 in. (6.4cm) foamed-in CFC-free urethane insulation in upright doors, 5 in. (12.7cm) in chest cabinets. Independent double-gasket door or lid forms a four-point seal to minimize frost buildup. Built-in key lock and full-length door or lid handle for easy access, except 3.1 cu. ft. model, which has a locking provision only. 1 in. dia. (2.5cm) port for access to the cabinet interior. Mounted on dual-wheel casters for easy mobility.
