Corning Microscope Slides, Frosted One Side, One End
|

These Corning microscope slides are made from water-white glass to maximize clarity and are frosted at one end on only one side. Slides are 0.9 to 1.10mm thick. To minimize waste, they are inspected for chips and rough edges before being packaged. -Products are packaged in 1/2 gross boxes (approx. 72 slides each). -10 gross = 20 boxes (1440 slides total).

GAPS II Coated Slides
|

|

GAPS II coated slides are manufactured from a proprietary ultraflat glass that enhances microarray performance, enabling more accurate reading of microarrays by confocal laser scanners. GAPS II coated slides provide the same coating process and attachment chemistry as original GAPS amino-silane coated slides, enabling researchers to use the same protocols they optimized for GAPS slides. Each case of GAPS II slides includes optimized protocols for use and troubleshooting hints.

UltraGAPS Coated Slides
|
|
|

The amino silane surface on UltraGAPS slides is ideal for printing long (>50 mer) oligonucleotides. UltraGAPS slides have a more hydrophobic surface than competitor slides, resulting in smaller spots. A quality certificate is included in each box of slides. Each lot is tested for consistent spot morphology, signal intensity, and low background in a hybridization assay. The results of nine quality parameters are listed, including DNA retention and an image of the spot morphology for that lot of slides. Each case of UltraGAPS slides includes optimized protocols for use and troubleshooting hints.

Corning Epoxide Coated Slides with Bar Codes

The Corning Epoxide Coated Slide is designed for the covalent attachment of oligonucleotides for the fabrication of microarrays.

The Pronto! Epoxide Spotting Solution may be used for printing oligonucleotide arrays on Corning Epoxide Coated Slides. We also encourage you to try 150 mM sodium phosphate, pH 8.5, with or without detergent (0.005 to 0.01% SDS), and choose the medium that yields the desired spot size and array density. We recommend the use of the Pronto! Universal Hybridization Kit for hybridization of oligo arrays made on Corning Epoxide Coated Slides.

The Epoxide Slides perform best when used with the tailored Pronto!; Epoxide Spotting Solution, 250mL.Try a Corning Epoxide Slide Starter Kit, which includes a sample of the Epoxide Spotting Solution and the Pronto!; Short Oligo Hybridization Solution. We recommend using a Pronto! Universal Hybridization Kit when printing Epoxide Slide microarrays containing approximately 30-mer oligonucleotides.

Corning Slide Holders
|
|
|

These plastic containers in which the UltraGAPS Coated Slides are shipped also function as storage boxes for printed arrays. The orange colored plastic has low transmittance in the 500 to 700 nm wavelength range which helps protect Cy 3 and Cy 5 dyes from photobleaching. These rigid plastic containers do not shed particles or out-gas volatile chemicals that may contaminate microarray slides. The Corning Slide Holders have lift off lids which are easy to open and close. -Cy is a registered trademark of Amersham plc, Buckinghamshire, England.

Corning Microarray Storage Pouch
|

|

Corning Microarray Storage Pouches are the same pouches in which Corning UltraGAPS and Epoxide Coated Slides are shipped. These tear-resistant, foil laminated pouches can be used by customers for the storage of printed microarrays. -When heat-sealed, the pouches provide microarrays with protection from light, humidity, and environmental contaminants. Each pouch comes affixed with a 3" x 4" white marking label.
