| Ideal for a laboratory with limited space, these 311L (11cu.ft.) SI (super insulation) series freezers with a temperature range of –50 to –86°C (–58 to –123°F) feature a thin wall insulation technique that integrates closed-cell, high-density foamed-in-place urethane insulation with Dow INSTILL* vacuum insulation core. This decreases wall thickness from the standard 12.7cm (5") to 6.7cm (25/8") and allows a maximum capacity of up to 180 boxes measuring 5.1cm (2") high.
Freezers feature the Legaci* refrigeration system, which provides reliability and sample security by withstanding strenuous laboratory environments. These units are powered by two hermetically sealed 1hp Copeland* compressors and DuPont Suva 95* refrigerant to provide the extra strength needed for extreme temperature loads. Pressure Equalization Port (PEP*) combats door open and close pressurization differential in the inner chamber, allowing easy re-entry within 30 seconds.
Five ABS molded, crack- and chip-resistant, air-insulated inner doors create independent storage compartments. The inner door design features adjustable hinges for each door, independently mounted for enhanced service life and sample protection. Swivel casters allow for easy movement of the cabinet, and a chrome latch ensures positive door seal, while accommodating a customer-supplied padlock. Solid-state electronic controller with large, easy-to-read LED digital temperature display, includes a key-operated on/off switch, over-temperature alarm, voltage boost system, and exterior alarm contacts.
